I really wanna read Princess and the P...Great list! I really wanna read Princess and the Pony. It sounds adorable.<br /><br />Scott Pilgrim is interesting for me not only because it's awesome and a great depiction of 20s life, but also because Dave has said he identifies heavily with Scott. I feel like when someone gives you a book and says that it was hugely formative for them or is a strong echo of their own experience, they've put a puzzle in your hands that's at once nerve-wracking and fascinating to work out. It's tempting to go through page by page and make a project out of figuring out which parts resonated with them and why, but then I worry about falling into a trap of overthinking it.<br /><br />A line from Scott Pilgrim that really reminds me of Dave is when Ramona asks him if he ever thinks about the future, and he says, "The future...like, with jetpacks?"<br /><br />I'm interested in the Aziz Ansari book. It's interesting to think about how relationships may or may not be changed by technology 50 years or more down the line.sarahnoreply@blogger.com
