To Some It Makes Sense

I fully realize that pretty much everyone who reads this won't really understand this one on the same level I do, but I'm going to put it up anyway. Basically I can't resist an opportunity to poke fun at a buddy of mine and so I love to put his little avatar character into strange situations. And then laugh. I've reversed their personalities and added soap opera drama...at the same time! Take that, sucker! MUHAHAHAHA.

[EDIT]: Here I've just realized I could just link you to some of his actual work so you can better understand my mockery.

Example #2
Damn...that's some quality. I will surpass you, you and your little fishing lure hat too!
[/EDIT]

But I digress. Two pages long! Pretty much done in a single night. I've gotten annoyed at computer coloring so I've used markers. Sure computer's give me a more polished look, but then they leave you with no physical picture when you're done. Now I've got the fully finished pieces in my sketch book where I can look at them anytime I want.

Although because I did it so fast there are some grievous errors. The most shameful being that in the last panel I drew a right hand where a left should go and visa verse.

I, for one, do not know how hard it is to find grubs. I also hope I never have to find out.

P.S. In another attempt to make this site the One-Stop-Shop for all things me, I've created a Twitter account. You should be able to see it over on the right side up near the top there. The more content I can give you here the better the place will be. Or at least that's how I see it.

I'm Not Making This Up

So I stayed up all last night comicing. By the morning I had finished drawing, inking, and even coloring two full pages of comicy goodness. However, I wasn't aware that the library closed at 5 today. Considering my shift at work ended at 5 as well I didn't have time to get anything scanned! But I swear I did a bunch of work and even though I can't post the images now I feel like posting anyways because I'm quite proud. I even used markers to color instead of computer. It's true the effects with a computer are better, but I don't like how the end result is only a digital thing instead of a cool physical picture.

There has to be something I can dish out to you poor readers as you whimper and push around the empty food bowl that is this blog! I'll search about my art folder and see if I can find something.
Holy stick sandwiches, I never posted this one? That is surprising. I'm a big fan of Spider-Man and I drew this when I was in Japan for the Creative Circle I was in. Turns out Spider-Man is one of the only American super heroes the Japanese actually know. So I drew a collection of some of my favorite characters.

I'm eventually going to run out of previously drawn art work to post on this thing and that will be a sad, sad day indeed. I'll try to get a bunch of stuff done over the rest of the Spring Break to bulk up my reservoirs. But I have a new Zelda game so don't hold your breath. ZELDA!

Seriously?

So I don't think I'll be able to do many photos. I think my camera is broken. Every time I go to use the thing it tells me to change my batteries. The only time I can take pictures is right after I put a newly charged set in it. If I go back a couple days later those new batteries all need to be charged again. It's like the thing is putting a constant drain on the batteries. Maybe I'll start to try and figure out how to use my camera phone, but I won't make any promises. Just though I'd let you know.

Compliments B&W

Whoah, a comic? What kind of madness is this?
I tried to take the time to add some detail work on this one. I'm really only posting this at the moment because I'm tickled pink that my inked version is better than the penciled one was. That usually doesn't happen for me. I plan on coloring this one which is why I didn't use more black. Once again I play on trying to do a halfway decent job so don't hold your breath. I probably won't give that an attempt for a little bit, instead I've got some strip styled ones I'd like to do.

In a notice of public service I've discovered a great excuse to get out of class: Diarrhea. It works on so many levels.
1)A perfect reason not to want to leave your house.
2)A great reason for someone else to not want you to leave your house.
3)Embarrassing enough that they won't question it any further.

So Here's The Thing

Let me explain myself. While I am perfectly capable of doing a comic every day, to do so means that I have to stay at school even when I have no desire to. Meaning after classes I can either go and get home at a decent time in the early afternoon or I can do a comic. Choosing comic means that I sit in the library where I pretty much have to sit at a table with no other input until I'm done, go and scan it and then go home. Go home meaning depending on my timing I'll have to wait for the bus from anywhere from Run-to-catch-it Quick to Sit-On-a-Bench-For-An-Hour Long. It's a pain. I much prefer to do comics at home where I can have a snack and listen to/watch something in the background. So why don't I just do them at home and then scan them at school? Good question. Mostly because I can't scan them here...which admittedly isn't very smart, but the actual ability to distribute material is essential in my motivation. Suffice to say I'm going to cut back the amount of comics I do to something more reasonable. Meaning I'll actually be able to put details and quality into them instead of throwing done whatever I can get done in the time constraints. However, never fear! I will not leave you in want of content. You see I have a camera. I also have a computer. So to make up for less comics I'll put up more photos to compensate.

Like this one! I made green stuff for St. Patrick's Day. Green cookies with Green frosting with a tall glass of Green milk to wash it all down.

Cat in a bag! See the coolness that will take a comic's place?

I Suck At This

So I wasn't able to finish the comic for today. Actually I could have gotten it up, but I want to add more details and such things and actually try to make it look presentable. So in the mean time here are some of the Oregon Trail themed comics I've done in the past. For those of you who have never played the game I apologize.

I'm Not Dead...yet

Just an update to tell everyone they can expect me to be back on schedule for this week. I'm mostly recovered from being hit by that car and almost recovered from getting all super sick as well. Sorry for the shitty job doing updates recently. But I'll be doing my best to get things back on track.

Ow

I got hit by a car this morning and I feel all sore and shitty, so no comic today. Chances are I'll feel even worse tomorrow, so don't hold out any hopes for one then either.

P.S. Cars hurt.

Now That's a Party

I got a new sketch book today! Which is good, because this comic marks the end of my last one. I'll admit this one is sub par, but I wanted to go to the store to get some food and in order to get there before the store closes I had to work at top speed on this one. So while the quality isn't great, considering the speed I did it in I'm actually quite pleased.
The nice thing about doing a comic for the web is there are no size restrictions so I'm free to putz about with panel size. But the comic is accurate, my idea of a good time tends not to match up with a lot of other people's. Also I have a natural aversion to "Yay! Party! Chug Chug Chug"-jocky types...also to anyone wearing a super long basketball type shirt. Another accuracy is that I will indeed fall a little bit in love with anyone who suggests watching stupid movies and likes to make jokes about them the whole time, although due to social awkwardness I will not kiss them on the mouth.

The Madness Continues

You know what? If I'm going to make weird comics this week I might as well go all the way, don't you think? Let the madness continue!
I have no idea why, but these comics really do make me giggle.

WAAAAAAHHH!!!

I don't have any ideas! And my sketch book is out of paper!! Agh. AGGGHHHH!!!
I feel so bad about my lack of updating that you get the junk I've churned out to give my hands something to do while I think.
As poorly done as they are I have to admit there is something in both of them that makes me chuckle a little.

Ok so temporary hiatus until I can get another sketch book, because there is something about using computer paper that I don't really like...probably because the paper quality is shitty and I'll just loose pieces of paper. I'll try to post something in the mean time...I'm not really sure what that'll be, but it'll be something.

Liar

So I know I said I'd post some stuff this weekend, but it looks like I'm a liar. I started doing some sketching and I've decided to change things up. I figure maybe every month I'll change lanes to keep things interesting. So I've been using the weekend to work out some ideas for this months comic project. I'm thinking the task for this month will be to continuing doing strips every weekday, but this time using the same characters every time. On one hand it'll be a limit because I won't be able to do just any idea I come up with, but on the other that might also make things easier. I guess we'll find out.

Sorry for my poor job updating recently. I'm going to try and get the first couple strips sketched out today so that I'll be able to start having comics done a few days ahead of time in order to give me more leeway in my schedule.

So be sure to tune in tomorrow for the first installment of this new attempt.

EDIT: I almost forgot to point out that I've added a list of the webcomics I read. I believe you'll find it underneath the archives list over on the right. When my comics don't do it for you (or aren't posted) feel free to entertain yourself with people who are actually skilled in this field.
